Casper Ice Arena 5 positions available Hiring for shifts:
Monday-Thursday after 5pm, Friday after 5pm, Saturday all day, Sunday all day Incumbents are responsible for providing courteous customer service and cashier services while serving food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Receives direct supervision from higher level supervisory and management staff.
Typical Class Essential Duties 1.
Prepares and serves concession food, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a consistent manner in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
2.
Checks identification of customers to verify age requirement prior to selling alcohol.
3.
Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and there is adequate change available; follows City policies and procedures relating to cash handling and accounts receivable tasks.
4.
Contains overuse of alcohol by customers by cutting off alcohol service; may be required to quiet a loud or obnoxious customer or require them to leave facility.
5.
Stocks supplies such as food and alcohol inventory in a safe and efficient manner.
6.
Maintains clean and orderly cashier station and performs basic routine cleaning tasks.
7.
Provides general customer service and communication with the public regarding safety, policies, rules, and general information about the facility or event.
8.
Represents the City of Casper by responding to the public, citizens, its employees, and others in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner while continuously maintaining a positive customer service demeanor.
9.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Knowledge (position requirements at entry):
Knowledge of:
Basic customer service principles.
Basic sanitation and cleaning methods.
Basic mathematical calculations.
Food and beverage (including alcohol) server training standards and best practices.
Abilities (position requirements at entry):
Ability to:
Work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
Learn cash register operations, and cashiering methods and procedures.
Routinely demonstrate the City of Casper core values.
Maintain attention to detail in a work situation with frequent interruptions.
Handle multiple customers at the same time.
Learn general layout of facility to provide assistance to visitors and customers.
Organize and/or prioritize to be efficient and effective with multiple tasks.
Operate modern office equipment, software, and operating systems/applications.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
Communicate effectively.
Follow written and verbal instructions and direction.
Provide courteous customer service.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Follow all City safety rules and procedures and reports all accidents/incidents immediately to supervisor.
Follow all local, state, and federal rules and laws related to concessions services and serving alcoholic beverages.

Training, Experience & Certifications EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol per Wyoming State Law.
At least three months experience in providing customer service.
LICENSING and CERTIFICATIONS Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid TIPS Certification within one (1) week of hire.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certification within six (6) months of hire.

If the employee has not held a Wyoming driver's license for the last three years, the employee must provide at their own initiation and expense a driving record from their previous state(s) of residence.

City of Casper employees in data creation and modification, security sensitive or safety and protective positions are subject to pre-employment drug testing.
Some employees may be subject to random drug testing if their responsibilities include:
Emergency response/rescue Handling or working with hazardous materials, including chemicals as well as solid and liquid waste Operating or maintaining water and wastewater systems Writing or modifying code, maintaining or modifying City data systems including work on networks, servers, and communication systems CDL operations and driving Operating power-driven machinery or equipment Creating or modifying health, financial, security and or risk documents or assessments Working with or directing minors Positions in this class typically require:
stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Light Work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up-to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
