Summary:
The Maintenance personnel conducts routine maintenance checks at all facilities; completes maintenance tasks; logs the status of maintenance activity to insure a safe and pleasant environment.
Essential Functions:
1.
Uses knowledge of general carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, and mechanical systems to make small repairs and prevent injury or reduce the likelihood of more extensive future repairs.
2.
Upon direction from supervisor obtains estimates for repairs or improvements from specialty vendors for projects approved by administration; schedules and monitors work in progress; checks methods of construction and quality of material to ensure adherence to contract specifications.
3.
Assists with minor or routine service of all company vehicles.
4.
Monitors and obtains sufficient supplies to enable the timely completion of tasks.
5.
Assists supervisor with prioritization and development of maintenance items for completion.
6.
Assists with the scheduling, coordinating and documenting health and life safety inspections by regulatory or accrediting authorities that results in compliance with all applicable rules and standards.
7.
Assists with the resolution of any emergent non-sanitary condition at any of the organizational facilities; conducts safety checks and monitors facilities for unsafe or hazardous conditions; facilitates or assists in the removal of snow, ice or any other hazard and maintains safe access to buildings and grounds in order to reduce the risk of injury.
8.
Serves as a liaison with maintenance contractors and vendors when authorized.
9.
Assists Safety Committee/Corporate Compliance Officer with safety inspections and necessary remediation.
10.
Responsible for completing competency-based workplace safety training as assigned by the agency.
11.
Other duties as assigned.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
