We are looking for a hard-working and detail-oriented technician that will play a pivotal role in providing precise sample preparation of ores other bulk materials.
Job Description:
Provide hands-on work with samples ranging from drill-core to ore tailings Fulfill customized projects from start to finish with the guidance and direction of the Lab Manager Learn and follow standard operating procedures - providing insight where needed Operate equipment related to sample prep.
(jaw crusher, ring-and-puck mill, pressure filters, drying ovens) Provide daily maintenance checks of equipment and identify potential issues Properly track and label samples throughout project phases Use basic computer skills to navigate programs including Microsoft Excel for data entry Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and high level of honesty Maintain a clean and organized work environment Uphold a high standard of personal and shop-wide safety Continue to promote a positive and cooperative work culture Ability to stand for long periods of time during repetitive tasks Ability to wear required PPE for sustained periods of time Ability to lift 50lbs over short distances (ex.
lifting to work surfaces, transferring into machinery) Experience or interest in mining, minerals processing and/or reclamation preferred Pay dependent on experience.
